Aava Java serves four brewed coffees daily, from a mild Morning Blend to a dark Ethiopian roast. While the trend in many coffee houses is to serve very dark roasts, we roast each of our coffees to the optimum temperature for flavor for that particular bean. As a result, our coffees range from very mild to dark, meeting a broad range of coffee tastes.

Our Colombian roast is available daily in regular and decaffeinated. In addition, we brew a flavored coffee daily – also available in regular and decaffeinated.

Our shop has a daily drink special, so the customer can find their favorite drink at a “bargain” price. In addition to coffee and hot or iced lattes, we serve a variety of Novus teas, Chai tea, fruit smoothies, steamers, hot chocolate, soft drinks, juice, and water. Our variety means everyone can find a favorite beverage – even if you are not a coffee drinker.

The shop’s environment is a calming, peaceful place to stop and relax from the day’s pressures. Our regular customers include groups of retirees, who each started coming alone and one by one joined the “regulars” table of eight to ten retirees. Our wireless internet attracts students from nearby Olivet Nazarene University looking for a quiet place to study and groups of business persons find a quiet and relaxing business meeting place. Groups of moms find support after dropping their children off at one of the nearby grade schools or the soccer field for practice. And we often have a family stop by for a beverage while out to pick up a pizza from the shop next door.

We are open Monday through Saturday from 6 am to 10 pm and on Sunday from 8 am to 10 pm. We are here as you stop by on your way to work, school, shopping or errands. We’re also a great gathering place where you need not feel rushed to leave.
